Friday 24th June Lesson

Hello Psychologists.

I think I've done well to avoid meetings all year but I am afraid that yet again I have to attend some interviews taking place in school. This is good practice for you as self directed learners (even people at home with broken legs Sam!).

I have recieved details of projects from 2 groups but not from others - please see the last post for details.

So your task today:

a) Make sure I have last week's work sent to myself and Miss Knight
b) For those with planned activities you do need to include the details of previous reseacrh in this field (have a good look at the model write up linked on the first post for A2 to guide you on what you may include here).

Friday 17th June - Next Steps Cover

Good morning Psychologists. I am afraid I have to attend a meeting that has only been called this week. I am aware that Miss Knight has added some further views on some of the research proposals. If wanting further certainty the examples on the sheet both below and in the G:Drive (Mr Beech folder A2) are specific to aspects of your syllabus.

This week you need to do the following as a research team but complete your write up as an individual. Whilst you need to work on this together aspects of this can be "divvied" up>

a) Area of research

b) What research has already been done in this field and what conclusions were drawn?
c) Aims of the investigation
d) Hypothesis + null hypothesis
e) Ethical considerations.
f) Standardised procedures (this will take quite a bit of your time)
g) Resources needed
h) Detail of how your results will be collected (eg. the questionnaire, if observations the categories that will be observed)

I would like a copy of this from each group to be emailed to me (if one person is sending this please state who else is in your group). Email to cbeech@redruth.cornwall.sch.uk I will need to check the details of the project before you go ahead after activities week.
