NATURE OF MEMORY - MULTI STORE MODEL REVISION

Your task for today is to create your own revision summary for the nature of memory and Atkinson + Shiffrin's multi store model. You need to know about duration, capacity and encoding for each component, key studies that support the components, an evaluation of the studies (strengths and weaknesses) and an evaluation of the model.

You can add to my online mindmap (and if you create your own account you can collaborate on mindmaps online from home and in college)

If you want to log in to the mindmapping software and develop my map it is found at:

www.mind42.com
user: redruthpsychology
Password: milgram

OR

You can create cue cards

You can use a web based tool for this

You could also learn the memory song found on this blog! I bet a £10 gift voucher or charity donation to the first person who can memorise the whole song!

Revision over Easter:

Revise the MSM and complete another set of revision activities to cover:

  • Working memory model
I want to see the evidence of the revision notes either online or paper based. If you choose a visual mnemonic (FANTASTIC) BE READY TO TALK ME THROUGH IT.

Need help over Easter? Write a comment below - it is emailed to me.
